Hello,

My cruise control does not work as advertised in the handbook. I have read the forums and I am trying to use it correctly without any joy. As mentioned in the forums I have checked the fuse so I will check the hose on the vacuum pump is not split. This is my question is the pump and hose definately behind the grill on the facelift model (Mk2) or is behind the passenger headlight. I cannot see the pump behind the grill. Many thanks.

Many thanks for lightning reply, looks like it will be a Saturday job pulling out the headlamp. Is the headlamp only held in by one screw as stated in the forum?

Did not look forward to removing the headlamp so I thought I should have a quick look through the headlamp access panel in the wheel arch with a torch and mirror to see where the vacuum pump was, Hey presto, perished pipe!. I managed to remove the pipe through the access panel and it had a few splits in it. I just need to find some replacement pipe. Many thanks, brilliant website. When I have put the new pipe in I will give the cruise control a bash. Cheers!!!
