steve67car Posted July 23, 2007 Report Posted July 23, 2007 just found out the 1990 to 2003 vw transporter has the same discs and calipers as the galasharambra. apart from the t4 with drums on the rear (saves a smart asre pointing that one out ) Quote
morticiaskeeper Posted July 24, 2007 Report Posted July 24, 2007 Now you tell me!!! The replacement car comes tomorrow:-( Quote
MrT Posted July 24, 2007 Report Posted July 24, 2007 I did not think that the whole range had the same size disks? Quote
seatkid Posted July 24, 2007 Report Posted July 24, 2007 (edited) They don't. AFAIK 3 different sizes front disc, 2 rear. Edited July 24, 2007 by seatkid Quote
sepulchrave Posted July 24, 2007 Report Posted July 24, 2007 ...and my 1993 T4 Transporter has solid discs, not vented, and I'm certain that the calipers are different because the pads don't even look similar. Otherwise you're really onto something there! Quote

johnswlondon Posted August 13, 2007 Report Posted August 13, 2007 i was always a bit disappointed how many fords had drums at the rear,to me it made me question the quality of the ford badge,so it was great to see that even the aspen has rear discs. Quote
MrT Posted August 14, 2007 Report Posted August 14, 2007 I believe that all cars are moving to disks all round as ABS is now a legal requirement in most countries and is cheaper to implement on disks. Quote
