Discs And Calipers

just found out the 1990 to 2003 vw transporter has the same discs and calipers as the galasharambra. :wacko: apart from the t4 with drums on the rear (saves a smart asre pointing that one out )

I did not think that the whole range had the same size disks?

...and my 1993 T4 Transporter has solid discs, not vented, and I'm certain that the calipers are different because the pads don't even look similar.

my info on this is from both my 99 t plate transporter and my mates 2000 v plate sharan so i listed this just in case it might help?

but i also know there is a difference in both ranges due engine sizes.

if was just a generalisation to try to help but as i also know some peps talk too much listed on here word for word :)

i was always a bit disappointed how many fords had drums at the rear,to me it made me question the quality of the ford badge,so it was great to see that even the aspen has rear discs.

I believe that all cars are moving to disks all round as ABS is now a legal requirement in most countries and is cheaper to implement on disks.
