bozfeller Posted July 15, 2007 Report Posted July 15, 2007 Hi all New to this forum. Very useful. I've just bought a 2002 2.3 Ghia auto (yesterday). Imported from Singapore, seems OK so far but a little 'flat' performance compared to the 2.8 Ghia which I had last. Suspension seems softer as well. Anyone any experience of imports? Performance versus other models? Cheers Bozfeller PS Would have been Boz above but someone beat me to it Quote
teresa Posted July 15, 2007 Report Posted July 15, 2007 i havent had an import galaxy but i have had a 2.3 manual and that was quicker than the auto and had a better fuel consumption being around 32.5 to 35 mpg Quote
Andrew T Posted July 17, 2007 Report Posted July 17, 2007 Welcome, Ours is an import 2.3 as well, although a little less exotic than yours (Irish market vehicle via Belgium). As all Galaxy's come off the same production line I'd be surprised if there are any major differences, just minor spec' changes. If yours is a Ghia does it have Cruise Control, power rear vent windows, swivelling seats etc ? Quote
mumble_bee Posted July 18, 2007 Report Posted July 18, 2007 bozfella I had a 2.3 and a 2.8auto, and the 2.3 felt far nippier in town than did the clunky heavy 2.8,it should drive like a typical 16v tbh... Quote
