insider Posted July 17, 2007 Report Posted July 17, 2007 Pretty sure both 1800 petrol and diesel engines had timing belts, not chains. Quote
bofus Posted June 27, 2008 Report Posted June 27, 2008 i saw an 1800 mk3 apart tonight - defo cam chain not belt Quote
Mirez Posted July 11, 2008 Report Posted July 11, 2008 TD's have beltsTDDI's have beltsTDCI's have chains From what I remember anyway! Quote
Mirez Posted July 11, 2008 Report Posted July 11, 2008 Thinking about this are you sure its a Mk3? Its a very early one if it is as they were only released on the end of the X reg's - if it is then its almost certainly going to have a TDDI engine so belts - changed every 80K. Quote
DJAZS Posted July 27, 2008 Report Posted July 27, 2008 I am pretty sure that all Mk3 Mondeo's, regardless of engine, are chain drive Quote
