neiluk Posted July 9, 2007 Report Posted July 9, 2007 (edited) Hi all, I've just checked my power steering fluid level with a cold engine and it is a good inch above the maximum for that temperature. It's been like this since I bought my Gal a few months ago and I've never had any problems with the steering with the level so high, so should I just leave it as it is or get the wifes turkey baster and suck out the excess? Is the high level likely to cause any damage like a very high engine oil level could? I wish they made the engine oil this accessable  Thanks, Neil. Edited July 9, 2007 by neiluk Quote
Dave-G Posted July 9, 2007 Report Posted July 9, 2007 Even though it's higher than the level mark - that may just be a guideline. My feeling is don't mess with something that works ok. If the high level was a problem I think it would have done some damage by now. Quote
