New Steering Wheel

Hi,

My steering wheel finish on my 1.9 tdi 03 Sharan has worn away and not only looks a mess but has been contaminated with diesel in the past.

 

Can anyone advise me if the steering wheel off a golf Mk4 will fit as there never appear to be any Sharan ones for sale but plenty of Golf Mk4.

 

Oh and how easy is it to change, DIY or leave it to the Main agent! only wary because of the air bag.

If you remove the steering wheel, the airbag warning light may come on. This has to be reset via a diagnostic tool - VAGCOM or the dealers computer...

 

Also don't know if airbags etc are compatible between different models - good possibility they're not.
