Guest Boggler Posted January 12, 2004 Report Posted January 12, 2004 Can anybody out there relate a Ford Trim code to a VW Trim code for me? Autoglass replaced the passenger window and the fitter managed to knacker the Doorcard, Ford apparently don't do my particular one anymore (I mean, after all it is a whole six years old, a veritable classic :o ) My Code is BC, Berber Beige with Cassino material, any chance of someone out ther firstly knowing if VW do this? and what their code would be? seatkid Posted January 12, 2004 Report Posted January 12, 2004 I think trim colours and patterns (cloth in particular) is unique to each company. Quote
gazza007 Posted January 12, 2004 Report Posted January 12, 2004 I would make sure Autoglass sort it out, as they wrecked it. Quote
Ivor_E_Tower Posted January 12, 2004 Report Posted January 12, 2004 ISTR that car manufacturers had to make spares available for 10 years - this was one of their reasons for trying to stop pattern parts being made by the motor factors. Suggest you contact Ford directly if necessary - or get Autoglass to do it. Quote
Guest Boggler Posted January 12, 2004 Report Posted January 12, 2004 Thanks for all suggestions. Autoglass will be sorting it but what they suggest is they'll pay for one of the trim repair companies to come out and repair it, they would have paid for a new one if it had been available, I would have preferred a new one at their expense but, alas, it looks like I'll have to settle for the repair Again thanks all.
