Pineappleman Posted June 27, 2007 Report Posted June 27, 2007 Hi guys just had my 03 115PD TD serviced and brakes done the mechanic advised me when i picked it up that the a CV joint is showing signs of wear and tear and cracking and will need sorting one day. My question is as the MOT is due soon will it fail because of it? do they check such things? And what am i lookng at price wise to have it sorted? Thanks you lot ;) Oh while im here its not a biggy but my offside rear door lock is now not working with the central locking its ok to open it just has to be locked and unlocked by hand any ideas? seatkid Posted June 27, 2007 Report Posted June 27, 2007 Outer cv joints on FWD cars are MOT items but not inner CVs or rear CVs. It will fail if the boot is split, don't ask me why though..... Quote
