Tailgate Won't Open

Went to open the tailgate this morning, and it won't open :-(

 

The solenoid whirrs when the handle is pulled, but the door won't move.

 

I know it can be opened from the inside when the door trim is removed, but how can I remove the trim while the doors is shut?

 

I was going to prep the car to sell this weekend :rolleyes:

you should be able to open it with the key in the boot lock turned to the nearside if i rememeber

Opened it fine, now it works properly every time. I'll take the door card off and check for any bent levers, then I'll start cleaning it up.

Zavoli mixer LPG system with closed loop Lambda controller. Underslung fuel tank. Get around 20mpg on gas at 43.2p per litre, equivalent to 44mpg based on petrol at 95.9p per litre.

 

Reason for sale: Audi A6 Avant 1.9tdi (SWMBO's inheritance).
