Had a weird experience today.

Everytime i went from either Park or Neutral to Drive and came off the brake pedal the car jerk forward a bit hard, as if you bring clutch up to quick.

Into journey i stoped stationary then pulled off, car reved to 4k and didnt change gear i slowed down and pullled off again got upto 5k and still stayed in 1st gear.

I pulled over and put it into park, cut engine off, restarted car and drove off and was changing gear all day fine.

Now is this a sign of a major problem? or does autobox need oil added/changed??

Thanks

I had a similar problem on my other Galaxy but was stuck in third (limp home mode). Switching off the ignition would clear the fault.

Turned out to be the gearbox ECU, however, I have read on this forum that the wiring can chaffe against the gearbox/bodywork causing various problems.

I would suggest checking all the wiring and then perhaps disconnecting the battery for about an hour to clear any fault codes, etc. Then see how things go.

Can you put your vehicle details in your signature details then all members will see what you got.
