thanks gregers, the wireing in the doors is ok, and dry as a bone under the seat, at first it was only the tailgate not opening, i took out the relay next to the alarm & locking module, just to see if good contact, when i replaced it i'm sure i heard a 'snick' as in a fuse blowing, but can not find a fuse blown in the normal fuse box r/h of driver. When this happened i lost alarm inc door led, lost central locking, lost remote central locking and interial courtsy lights that come on on door opening, i have just replied to a nother post that relates to the same problem as mine but does not give fuse location, looks like the guy was email seperatly not on the forum. many thanks to everyone in advance
