pete1966 Posted June 16, 2007 Report Posted June 16, 2007 Took new car for run to Dartmouth today, 310 mile round trip, it looks like my temp gauge needs looking at as its all over the place sometimes working but then not. Also it happened twice on Friday a quick trip to shops on the way back engine for a split second cut, then carried on no flashing light or any change in performance? Then on the way home from Dartmouth again for a split second the engine cut? Again no flashing from door light ect, and then carried on with no problems? Any ideas or is it a needle in haystack, one of a hundred problems, I just have a hunch that the temp gauge not working properly and this sudden cut in engine are related but unsure. Any ideas?pete Quote

Neils TDi again Posted July 9, 2007 Report Posted July 9, 2007 Sounds like it could be a dodgy amplifier have you had them checked or the wiring to them as they do tend to become brittle. There is a write up in the FAQs I believe. Quote
