If got a vr6(97) and a Diesel (99) in case they are different amounts thanks in advance :) Hi and Welcome Sorry I cannot help with the amounts, but I would thing it depends onif you have air-con in the back as well. I may be barking up the wrong tree, assuming you want to top up yourcars, but I would suggest going to a proper air-con firm, as its not justa matter of topping it up! You need to extract the old gas and the vacumme out the system to removeany mosture, and then replace the gas (without letting it out to the outside [which is eleagal]). And if you were thinking of getting those from Halfords, it would cost you around Quote
ageb Posted June 9, 2007 Author Report Posted June 9, 2007 Hi thanks for the reply Is why I want to know is a friend of mine has all the gear to do-rechargingas he does fridges etc, and he asked for the amount of gas to put in . I do have the TIS but cant find the disk ( always the way !!) Quote
Scorpiorefugee Posted June 9, 2007 Report Posted June 9, 2007 I agree. Best to get it done by a specialist. Chances are that it didn't just run out of gas and you can waste a lot of gas doing trial and error. There are some posts on this in the main section but I think it's in the order of 1.3 Kg. I got mine done for Quote

seatkid Posted June 14, 2007 Report Posted June 14, 2007 There is sticker next to the bonnet latch in the engine bay with the amounts - look for the tell tale "R134A" - if there are two quantities the lower is for single a/c and the higher is for dual a/c. Quote
