!3 mm open ended spanner 13 mm socket 10mm socket and a 17mm ring spanner.

Get vehicle on ramps or securely raised, NOT JACKS

Remove engine understray 13 mm socket up in wheel arch on chassis and ten mm socket at rear by exhaust exit point.

Then using 13mm spanner slacken rear bolt of Power steering pump and front bolt that goes through the 17mm adjuster head.

Slacken adjuster off remove belt.

Fitting is reverse.

To be honest even with the tray fitted it can be done in abotu 20 minutes max.

the alternator belt is inside the Power Steering belt and it may be time to change that as well as you need to remove the Power Steering belt to change the alternator belt.

I would love to post a picture but I havent got the MK1 anymore and the TIS images are frowned upon, but I am sure someone will have the pictures for you soon.
