Vag-com Questions

Hi all,

 

Im interested in getting VAG-COM to help with the upkeep of the Galaxy, as I have a low power problem at the moment, Garage is telling me the computer is telling them Temp Sensor and Throttle position sensor. However after investigating here it looks almost exactly like a faulty MAF.

 

Anyway thats the reason I'd like access to VAG-COM, so looking at EBAY to find a cable compatible with the Galaxy, Is this the correct cable?

I intend to play with 409 from ROSSTECH and if all works well, then registering 409 to open the full features.

 

Is that all I need (apart from a laptop, no problem as I work in IT ) to use VAG-COM then ?

The one from alpha should work fine as thats who I got mine from, cost me more than that though, but I use to use it all the time when I had my sharan so paid for itself over and then some.
