I know bits of this have been covered before, but just wanted to make sure I've not missed something easy. The remote key just stopped working, but using the key in any lock will operate central locking and global open/close fine. Took the ECU out from under the seat, all dry (never been wet) and all contacts look fine, circuit board looks fine (nothing burnt). (Nothing works when this is un-plugged).

Changed fob batteries anyway, no change (

IIRC, Remote is not part of the ECU, its a circuit board in the multilevel fuse thingy under the drivers dash. See TIS for more info.

Good call Seatkid! You caused me to actually read what the TIS had to say! Turns out I needed to activate the programme sequence by inserting the key in the door lock and unlocking 3 times.

BTW the alarm/lock module is indeed under the seat.

For others that may read this, I think mine went tits up because the fob batteries became loose (fell out when I opened it up), hence loosing the program sequence.
