springen Posted May 15, 2007 Report Posted May 15, 2007 Two things I've noticed about my Galaxy recently. I'm not sure if this a feature of all Mk2's, but mine has the 'flick-indicators', which means that when you 'flick' the indicator stalk the indicators flash for four flashes then stop - useful I find when changing lanes at motorway speeds or exiting a roundabout. Anyway, recently I've noticed that when I've had the indicators on normally, when they self cancel after turning the wheel, the opposite side flashes for four flashes. It would appear that when the stalk cancels it flicks back operating the opposite side indicators. Has anybody else noticed this, or got Ford to fix it ? ;) Also on a completely different subject, I've noticed that the outer door panels (front and rear) wobble when you shut the doors. My previous SEAT (Mk1) never did this - did they reduced the thickness of the metal in the doors ??? Quote
mumof4 Posted May 15, 2007 Report Posted May 15, 2007 Umm..my indicators dont do that at all. and i have a MKII Quote
whitty Posted May 15, 2007 Report Posted May 15, 2007 mine don't do it either i wish they did well exept for the bounce thing wouldn't want that ! my rear wiper does similar sometimes when you turn it off it sets the front ones going as if you operated the wash wipe Quote
springen Posted May 15, 2007 Author Report Posted May 15, 2007 (edited) Nope nor mine  Interesting, then I believe the 'flick-indicators' (as I call them) are a feature of the late (2005/2006) Galaxy's. The dealer told me that his Mondeo also had this feature. Edited May 15, 2007 by springen Quote
Smilge Posted May 16, 2007 Report Posted May 16, 2007 Mine have the flick and four flashes but not on self cancel ....... Quote
tim-spam Posted May 16, 2007 Report Posted May 16, 2007 The metal thickness has not been reduced. Quote
springen Posted May 16, 2007 Author Report Posted May 16, 2007 The metal thickness has not been reduced. Maybe there is less 'stiffening' in the door panel then ?? Quote
