mikeohope Posted May 10, 2007 Report Posted May 10, 2007 It would help if he said what it was the tyre specialists have said needs adjusting. Mike Quote
Biscuit Posted May 10, 2007 Report Posted May 10, 2007 Is there any sort of noise coming from the steering/suspension?could be the bushes Quote
gregers Posted May 10, 2007 Author Report Posted May 10, 2007 thanx peeps apparently its something that only ford can do?????its baffling coz i went through as many posts on tyres as i could find and gave him the results and he said that everything that the tyre fitters could check has been checked and pointed him towards the main dealers. i know its not much info im giving you guys(gals) just wondering if anyone else has had a similar problem!!! mikeohope Posted May 10, 2007 Report Posted May 10, 2007 thanx peeps apparently its something that only ford can do????? Is that because the kwik fit monkeys actually have no idea what they are looking at? If they know what it is but can't tackle it themselves they could give him half a chance by telling him? Has he taken it to a four wheel alignment specialist? If not could be a good start and I know it may be taken the wrong way but has he asked all who drive it wether they've hit anything hard such as pot holes etc. I hit a kerb once in a Fiesta and totall trashed the alignment beyond anything a tyre centre could fix, had to go on a jig to get sorted. First step for me would be a decent 4 wheel alignmentment done by a specialist. get a full report done and then check against the manf data. sometimes the rear wheels can be adjusted by using spacers etc. Never done it myself but have heard of it. I doubt the likes of kwik Fit/ATS et al would have any idea what to do i that instance. Quote
gregers Posted May 11, 2007 Author Report Posted May 11, 2007 thanx guys for the feedback ill pass this on. Quote
El Dingo Posted May 11, 2007 Report Posted May 11, 2007 Definitely get this car in for a four wheel laser aligment check. Try any ProTyre depot or, if your mate is ever over that way, Micheldever Tyres (just off the A303). Quote
