Auxiliary Heater And Dense Smoke

Just how much smoke does these things belch out? The car was almost completely smothered in blue smoke at the traffic lights this morning causing one person to get out of their car and knock on the drivers side window to tell us our car has a serious problem and shouldn't be on the road... it's getting VERY embarrasing now... surely this amount of thick blue smoke can't be normal.

 

Any ideas as to why ours seems so bad when a friends galaxy apparently "never does this".

have you fitted another one of those lovely looking spoilers on your Galaxy? it could be it's way of hiding it's shame! :rolleyes:

 

 

but on a more serious note, it sounds like the glow plug needs changing? a fairly common problem! there are a couple of write up's on how to strip and clean the unit along with replaceing the glow plug
