galaxy_1.9TD_Zetec Posted May 9, 2007 Report Posted May 9, 2007 Hi, I have a 1999 Galaxy TDI, when I stick the heater to full blast (either hot or cold), I get next to no flow through the air vents. This is same when travelling at speed, or stationary, same if I select to blow at feet, face or windsreen. There is plenty noise to suggest the blower is blowing, but it does not seem to get anywhere. Any ideas ? Quote
Guest wolfie Posted May 9, 2007 Report Posted May 9, 2007 check the condition of the pollen filter, if thats ok? check the condition of the fan? remove the lower glove box and remove the fan from the heater housing, check that it spins ok? manually and under power! and that the fan blades are in one piece and are still connected to the motor shaft? if thats ok? check the operation of the bowden cables at the rear of the vent direction knob Quote
galaxy_1.9TD_Zetec Posted May 10, 2007 Author Report Posted May 10, 2007 Thanks Wolfie, I took out the Pollen Filter, quite easy really, and found it to be beyond use. Got one from Frauds (Fraud were Quote
Guest wolfie Posted May 10, 2007 Report Posted May 10, 2007 pollen filter fitting made easy... remove the bulk head, and then setting the wiper blades to vertical on the screen moves the linkage up and out the way! well it gives you about enough room to do the job in hand  Quote
