Thefletch Posted April 27, 2007 Report Posted April 27, 2007 hiya Folks I have been experiencing problems with losing power when the car is under load, and having read many of the threads on here have narrowed it down to the stop solenoid. Is anybody able to tell me where this is located and how I go about changing this item? many thanks Fletch Quote

Thefletch Posted April 28, 2007 Author Report Posted April 28, 2007 I have been reading through many forum threads and many problems similar to mine but I came across somebody who had exactly the same problem as me. Feelings like turbo has kicked off in 3rd, 4th, and 5th between 3000 and 4000 rpm, and to get back power have to take foot off accelerator and back on. This person had tried all the usual things such as MAF etc, but a disel specialist diagnosed the fault as a fault stop solenoid, replaced it and now its perfect. Apparently it was not the turbo but to do with the fuel not getting through. Mine has been to several garages, changed the MAF, tried to read fault codes etc so I am willing to give it a go! If you have any info on how to change the stop solenoid please let me know! Fletch Quote
