Tigger Posted April 25, 2007 Report Posted April 25, 2007 Just a quick question. I have a new galaxy and would like to know if others have felt some differances over the old one. I have a 2lt diesel. When it is cold when you change gear the engine does not stop revving for a milisecond or so and sometimes the revs increase slightly.Have asked Ford who say that it could be down to not having a Aux heater and wanting to get the engime warm quicker? any thoughts? This car is so differant than the other some better points some that aren't. Smoother quicker more comfy bigger load area but not height. Better air con gets alot colder. back air vents for all passengers( These are great) Even the back row of seats on ous has air con worked from a compressor under the back seats. Thanks Quote

rg500gamma Posted April 29, 2007 Report Posted April 29, 2007 you forget ford like profit so it might be a case of lets try this! lets try that! oh and that costs Quote
mikeohope Posted April 29, 2007 Report Posted April 29, 2007 you forget ford like profit Yes but its under warranty so actually would be a loss. As I say you think they'd know. Quote
zeplin43 Posted April 29, 2007 Report Posted April 29, 2007 As for the motor dont forget it is not a VW TDI and the air con with 7 air vents is nothing new have that in my car since(2002).With my modest opinion and experience in 2 Quote
Andy Crome Posted May 9, 2007 Report Posted May 9, 2007 Hello, Picked up my new'ish (56 plate) 2.0 TDCI Zetec on Friday - my first Galaxy and so far I'm really impressed. Very torque'y engine - economical- nice to drive - pretty satisfied. The only downside is that this car was a demnstrator (which I had to buy due to error in pricing :-) ) so didn't manage to find one with cruise control, looking forward to you guys figuring out how to retrofit it on the new models - the dealer says it can't be done :-( Cheers, Andy Quote
