faz Posted April 22, 2007 Report Posted April 22, 2007 (edited) Hi all,I have bought a tin of Diesel engine restorer to hopefully cure my turbo limp mode problem. In the instructions it states "spray into turbo charger inlet", can someone please tell me which pipe this is. I know its not the top pipe next to the battery because I removed the sensor and air blows out. There is a pipe underneath the top pipe. Could this be it? Edited April 22, 2007 by faz Quote
Ivor_E_Tower Posted April 22, 2007 Report Posted April 22, 2007 Open the air filter, take the filter out and spray it down the pipe that leads from the air filter box to the turbo Quote
Guest wolfie Posted April 22, 2007 Report Posted April 22, 2007 Open the air filter, take the filter out and spray it down the pipe that leads from the air filter box to the turbo NOOOOOOOOO! and kill the MAF! Quote
faz Posted April 22, 2007 Author Report Posted April 22, 2007 In the instructions it states, for fuel injected diesel engines to spray it down air intake after mass air flow unit(maf), for turbo charged diesel engines spray it down turbo intake. Quote
whitty Posted April 22, 2007 Report Posted April 22, 2007 make sure you do it after the intercooler too otherwise you will just end up with an intercooler full of cleaning fluid ! Quote
Smilge Posted May 2, 2007 Report Posted May 2, 2007 Faz ...... to be honest and from my limited experience from a similar problem I had a month ago I dont think sparaying cleaner is going to solve your problem. Have a look at my thread and in particular TimSpams comments: http://www.fordgalaxy.org.uk/ford/index.ph...0loss&st=15 I reckon VAG-Com is your first port of call which should show up your problem and hopefully point you in the right direction. I tried looking to see if you had posted the problem previously to report the symptoms but it appears you haven't. Hope this helps. Chris Quote
