Hi

can you help my wife has bought a new in car radio cassette and 6 disc changer

goodmans gcd 570c to replace the ford model 2006R which broke some months ago.but the iso from the car is not the same as the new radio and the shop said

they have no new iso to fit, so i have to cut the wires and join but there are 6 wires

from the car iso and only 4 wires to the new radio 3 wires from the car are biger

than the over 3 wires and no writing on the wires so please help.

I would phone a few shops first to see if you can get iso plug....

:lol: Ask the wife to act just as dumb,and smile sweetly at the guy she bought it from as she hands it back and they will probably swap it for something compatible with the existing ford radio connections. :huh:

 

And if they dont, remember nobody can put a guy down as much as a pissed off woman :rolleyes:

i"ll second that....

if the shop that sold you the goodmans is any good, he will have other units in with correct iso plug just copy the positions down(no comments).they are fairly standard.

i would post a picture but although do most things on most vehicles not that good on computer.

If you do get the chance to swap it for another unit i suggest going for something other than a goodmans as i had lots of hastle with various goodmans head units and multichangers in my previous car

 

the head unit would overheat and the multichanger would skip

 

had the unit replaced by 2 other goodmans units and in the end told the shop where to stick them and paid the extra for a sony
