Bloody Galaxy Ownership!

Quick rant......I promise!

Night before we go away the power steering belt starts slipping......get the engine lower cover off, get the final bit of extra tension on the belt and all good for the few days away (finished at 22:30 and even refitted the cover as I saw all the posts about what happens when you don`t!)

On the way home today the power window on the rear passenger side stops working.....IN THE DOWN POSITION! After re-positioning the sleeping children away from the draught (good job it was a lovely day but had to go slow to avoid the noise)

Got the door panel off (even found the HIDDEN screw behind the door handle just before breaking away the bracket ot goes through)

Found the problem........broken wires in the rubber gaitor ( LOADS OF THEM TOO! )

Can be fixed but am guessing that the door loom has to be taken out of the door if I wan`t to fix it away from the car? ( Because the plug part won`t pass back through the door exit hole! )

Leaving it in place means I have to re-solder new wires in an awkward position......problem is the foam behind the door panel is still unmolested and firmly stuck down so don`t really want to disturb it f possible

All that feedback is after the transaction!

I purchased a freeview box for my daughters room. After I paid he sent a mail saying that it didn`t have a remote.

When it turned up it didn`t have the 5volt power supply....his excuse "I thought it was powered by the TV"

I raised a complaint with paypal to give him chance to sort it and he offered a partial refund if I sent it back at my expense

The rest is history I`m afraid

After I left him feedback, he retailiated with lies and since then has threatened to come here!

I politely warned him that he would be arrested if he did........he is totally mental!

He has actually admitted that the item is crap, that he has been in prison five times, he comes from liverpool originally and that he is working for the MOD on a personal security contract in Winchester???

realistically I cant imagine the police would do anything...
and the problem with "nutters" is that they dont actually care..
self preservation is not in the psyche.

I'm at a loss as well, as I said I've experienced similar situations and often wondered if being affiliated with some hoodlums would do any good.. and tbh again.. why drag yourself down to their level.

But then there is the counter argument that he is just a keyboard warrior...which I suspect.

I sympathise with your situation, and can offer you my support should you need it, I live in bedfordshire and will travel if you need.

Did you claim your money back from paypal?..item not as described?..There is a time limit in which to claim.im afraid that if a buyer has to return an item it is at his own cost., it is up to the seller if he refunds all postage, but usually postage is not included in any refund.I only ever had one item returned..and i refunded all postage costs aswell.Down to seller discretion as to whether they will refund all postage costs.Keep all emails, if you can also a copy of the ones you send him.

I do know of a case where it was taken to the police and they did something about it.Also keep reporting him to ebay.They will eventually do something but it does take time.A good place to ask for help is in the community bit on ebay where you can ask the community a question.you will get loads of help there.

when i had problems before christmas i took it up with the police helpful but no clout really because it is(in there words)a civil matter,but i did keep all emails etc and in the end a wrote a letter to the guys mum and she sent me a full refund,but i guess i was lucky!.
