mikeohope Posted April 6, 2007 Report Posted April 6, 2007 Hoping somebody could help, possibly by putting me in touch with a decent breaker. I am looking for the plastic cover that fits on the lever of the seat that you lift when you tilt the seat forward. This is the lever at the back of the seat not the one on the side that also operates the recline mechanism. This is for the middle row left hand seat. God knows where the original one went. I pulled one off another seat and it does seem to have a part number on it but I am already imagining the dumb look I will get at the parts counter at the local dealer. Any ideas please? Mike Quote
mumof4 Posted April 6, 2007 Report Posted April 6, 2007 ahhhhhhhhh...i know which one you mean now..took me a few mins as i always use the red straps under the seats. Quote
Pal Posted April 6, 2007 Report Posted April 6, 2007 (edited) i always use the red straps under the seats. Doesn't the red strap under the seats only release the rear fixing and tip them forward? The other lever just folds them forward/in half. Can't help you with the spare part I'm afraid but one was missing on the car I bought two weeks ago. I spotted it and the dealer put one on. Sure a dealer will know what you are on about. Pal Edited April 6, 2007 by Pal Quote
mumof4 Posted April 6, 2007 Report Posted April 6, 2007 yes...but there is a lever on the side seats that does the same thing.as i always have kids climb in thru the boot and in the doors, i never use it.the only time i tilt the seats forwards lifting them up out of the thingies, is when im cleaning the car and then i use the red straps. i believe mike is on about the lever that lifts the seat out of the rearfixing and lifts them forward not just fold them forward Quote
