Guest dwalshaw Posted April 5, 2007 Report Posted April 5, 2007 Hi Everyone Just a quick update from my last post. I took my gal to Frauds and had all the wheels balanced and the tracking checked which has now sorted the brake judder and off set steering wheel. They reckon the wind noise is caused by the roof rails and its a case of getting used to it.I do have another question that Frauds couldn't answer though. I am going to France on holiday in August and need to convert the headlights for when I drive on the wrong side of the road, I am aware that you cannot uswe the stick on patches with the modern plastic headlights as it destroys the lenses when you take them off. Just wondering if anyone knows a way around this as Frauds were clueless. Any help much appreciated. Dave :16: Quote
gregers Posted April 5, 2007 Report Posted April 5, 2007 iirc isnt there a lever within the engine bay to adjust the headlights?im sure this has been posted before do a search. They reckon the wind noise is caused by the roof rails and its a case of getting used to it.MINE DONT!!!!! Quote
Guest dwalshaw Posted April 5, 2007 Report Posted April 5, 2007 Thanks GregersI'll have another search through the site tomorrow to see what it turns up. Interesting to hear you don't have a similar problem with wind noise. I will keep hunting around on this one and turn the stereo up until I come up with an answer. Still, from what I have been reading on the site, Only 1 fault means it's a top car !!! Thanks again Dave! Quote
mikeohope Posted April 5, 2007 Report Posted April 5, 2007 If you use the correct converters you should not have a problem. I have used proprietory converters for years on glass and plastic with no problems at all. Its probably people who try to clean the adhesive residue of the lens with nasty solvents (instead of the correct cleaner) once they have finsished with the converters who end up damaging their lenses.
