tiny Posted April 4, 2007 Report Posted April 4, 2007 I know there are several posts covering electrical problems dur to faulty wiring looms in the doors, but I suspect mine may not be the loom. Ive done a quick search and couldn't find a problem like mine. So here goes- The drivers electric window has just lost its one touch close feature, one touch open works but close does not. also when i keep my finger on the switch, the window gets to fully closed and then opens again as if the obstruction sensing feature kicks in. In order to shut the window fully, i have to keep tapping the switch up a little until at a time until its closed. Any ideas anyone? Quote

I'd go back to Fraud and play hell with them, it's a fault in there product and you are still under the warranty so they fix it, if they dont, get the phone number for Ford head office (not the Dealer/Franchise) Fraud UK and complain to them. A mate of mine bought a Fiesta from a local dealer, he bought it brand new on an 06 plate, within a year the drivers seat fabric has stretched, when he gets out of the car it looks like he has sucked the fabric up his backside, took it to the dealer they said WEAR & TEAR so he phoned Ford UK and they made the Dealer replace the seat, he is still waiting though after a month but they have admitted fault. popeye2755 Posted April 4, 2007 Report Posted April 4, 2007 Mine does this one and off, the following normally clears it: Open the offending windows fully. Get out, close the door and insert the key into the lock. Turn the key to lock the doors, and then hold it till the window(s) fully close. Get back in, (after unlocking obviously!) and try the windows again. Quote
tiny Posted April 5, 2007 Author Report Posted April 5, 2007 Cheers Popeye, but i will have to wait until the next time it happens to try your fix. Got in the car this morning for work at 5.30(cold & frosty), it worked normally and was still working when I finished at 1.30 (warm & Sunny) Cheers all Quote
