Oil Change Continued

I was trying todo a standard oil change on the bus today.

After removing the engine tray I have spent the next hour looking for the oil filter

all I can find is a square box with a large black cover with a nut bulit into it where the oil filter should be.

Am I missing something?

Right I have found the filter and cannot undo it even with a wrench.

any ideas on how to loosen it

My guess is that you need the proper tool to remove the plastic cap - Halfords and others sell them for around

I can't seem to find an individual one online - but these are the type of tool you need. The actual one you want is 76mm with 14 flutes.

Oh yes, nearly forgot - be carefull... the cap is plastic

the oil filter removal tool is listed on ebay in the galaxy parts or type in ford galaxy/sharan oil filter removal tool

Yep

I took it to a local garage and they did the oil change for me

 

but thanks for all the help
