Hi All

Can someone please help me. My Galaxy is smoking alot under the back door (Auxilliary Heater)

It was smoking so much when my wife was in the car at traffic lights that someone knocked on the window & told her the car was on fire??

the car is running well but just smoking a lot. Any advice would be appreciated.

Hi All

Thanks for the help i will strat with glow plug

Thanks :16:

Hi all just thought I would share my experience with this issue

My gal started to smell of diesel, which I found was coming from the aux heater. I replaced the glow plug, which is detailed elsewhere in this forum. When I restarted the car, after a few minutes the heater fired up and started to plume grey smoke. Research seemed to suggest the dosing pump may be at fault, but this hadn't happened prior to the glow plug replacement.

What I surmised was that there had been a build up of unburned diesel from when the unit was trying to fire but couldn't because if the failed glow plug.

I simply let it run on the drive and low and behold the smoking eventually stopped and the unit now burns clean. The neighbours weren't too impressed though.

So before you rush to Frauds with your smoke, give it a moment to burn itself off.

as above;  new plug then drive it away from your house !!!  I took mine along the motorway---plumes of smoke as it was clearing itself out but eventually does.

mine was smoking sooooooooooooo   badly that the kids wouldnt get in the car !!!!  and at traffic lights it was choking everybody near the car.
