moggy Posted March 29, 2007 Report Posted March 29, 2007 Hi all, just wondered if any of you know how to remove the aux-wheel - tension wheel, My friend has looked in the Haynes manual but it doesn't say much apparently, he was hoping he didn't have to drop the engine to get the bolt out? any help would be appreciated coz I can't stand the noise for much longer :) Thanks. 28vr6 Posted March 30, 2007 Report Posted March 30, 2007 Did this job last week actually, Take out the air filter entirely, insert a suitable bolt into the tensioner unit hole as viewed from the front of car, tighten up until the belt goes slack enough to slide off using 13mm socket undo the three bolts attaching the unit remove tensioner. For the refit a bit of bent coat hangar is good for holding the belt whilst refitting the tensioner, the rest is simple  Quote
