b318isp Posted March 29, 2007 Report Posted March 29, 2007 On my Alhambra, the driver's headlight is slighty lower than the passenger's. I have tried turning the adjusting screw with an allen key, but it does not move the lamp at all. I know there is an adjustment for left-right aligning, but I'm sure I'm turning the vertical one. Any idea's on what is happening (or not!)? Quote
jwilliams Posted March 29, 2007 Report Posted March 29, 2007 If you have turned the adjuster too far the screw adjuster and the headlamp refector pop apart (I know I did it last wednesday night). You will have to take the headlamp out remove the back of the headlamp housing. You will find a small ball joint, the ball is on the reflector which fits into a slot on the adjuster. You need to pop them back together then you will be able to adjust the lamps properly. Quote

b318isp Posted April 1, 2007 Author Report Posted April 1, 2007 Thanks. As far as I know, the lower headligth retining screws need to be loosened, and the upper ones removed to take out the lights. Is this right? Quote
chromedome Posted April 1, 2007 Report Posted April 1, 2007 Yeah, that's right. Tip..............Put a thin piece of card under the headlight and over the bumber to prevent the mounting bracket scratching the bumber when you remove the headlight. Quote
