kawasaki-krazy Posted March 27, 2007 Report Posted March 27, 2007 Hi Guys (&Gals). I have quite a lot of work to do to my '95 1.9 turbo diesel Galaxy (New turbo, Timing belt, gear selector cables and an oil leak from some unknown location).Since I do not have any access to a garage, I was wondering how difficult it would be to take the engine right out of the car to work on it in (relative) comfort in the shed. Has anyone removed and engine/gearbox on one of these and is there anything special to watch out for. Since my turbo blew up ( http://www.fordgalaxy.org.uk/ford/index.php?showtopic=12352 ) I've decided that whilst its off the road its going to get a thorough makeover and get all those annoying little jobs done before its put backon the road. wood73 Posted March 28, 2007 Report Posted March 28, 2007 I have changed the engine in my 2.8 v6, as I recall it was quite a big job, but i was lucky enough to have the use of a 2 post ramp to lift the car off the engine. as it comes out from underneath, although someone did say the front end can be removed and the engine pulled out the front but i'm not sure.any help i can give just ask!
