Ford dealership in Bedfordshire

 

Last year, took my 2.8 V6 for 30k service, drove in, running as sweet as a nut, paid my 200 quid and drove away Kangarooing down the road !

 

Brittle spark plugs to blame, all 6 changed one by one. still miss firing. Turns out the coil was faulty. (strange, but it seemed fined before the service). Coil replaced, (

I'm finished with any main dealer (of any marque) - theyre all overchaging tossers. :angry:

 

Some Highlights include:

 

(a mercedes dealer) - refusing to believe themostat was stuck open because "after idling for half an hour it eventually got up to temperature"

 

(a seat dealer) - jacking up alhambra on sill edge and bending it very badly, not tightening up oil filter (twice) which then coats underside of car with oil (1 litre of expensive synthetic) and narrowly missing major engine failure, changing parts at incorrect intervals (air filter, pollen filter) not changing parts at service (fuel filter), taking 18 months to diagnose an air conditioning fault, not replacing screws after refitting front grill - charging 50% more than originally quoted verbally and denying they quoted it .

 

(an ex ford now [sort of] seat dealer) jacking up new alhambra on sill edge and bending it and not accepting responsbility ("I must have driven over something on the motorway..."), not using official stamps in my service record, not tightening screws after refitting dash, totally inept at a/c diagnosis (consists of listening under bonnet - "the compressors gone sir-

Eeek ?! I thought i got a rough deal !

 

oh, they also incorrectly stamped the service book after failing to stamp the book at all the previous year.

 

To rectify the in-accurate details ?.... simple, half a pot of tipex and a couple of crossed out ticks ! - nice job, especially as it was the want of a consistant service history that took me back to the jokers in the first place !

 

i shall be asking for a replacement service book
