Guest Sazere Posted March 23, 2007 Report Posted March 23, 2007 Help... My front wipers won't work, you move the stalk and nothing at all happens. If you try the rear wipers they work but you cannot squirt water. I have tried replacing the stalk but still nothing happens (assumed it was a faulty switch/stalk as same thing happened on my 2003 fiesta). I don't know what to try next! I rang Ford c/s as the galaxy is two weeks out of warranty but they don't want to know. I rang the local Ford dealer (who have worked on the car previously) and they want Quote

Mr Poisson Posted March 23, 2007 Report Posted March 23, 2007 hi,have you checked ALL of the fuses, my wipers played up and a fuse for a seemingly unrelated sysytem had blown, but when replaced wipers worked again!also fuse identification card in car was wrong...???? may be worth a search on seized wipers also hope it helps Quote
dp_essex Posted March 23, 2007 Report Posted March 23, 2007 Sazere, just to let you know - you can change just the motor if necessary. i think your mechanic must be taking about the actual wiper linkage which they only sell as a complete unit. i have recently had to renew mine as it seized almost without warning...during a downpour ofcourse! i think fords charge about Quote
