neiluk Posted March 21, 2007 Report Posted March 21, 2007 Hello all, As I still haven't been able to find a real Mk1 Galaxy to sit in I keenly opened my 1996 Galaxy brochure from Ebay thinking it would answer my question, but unfortunately it doesn Quote

So as the car is advertised as having "Electric Windows all round" and it's a Ghia, it should have these quarter lights buttons shouldn't it? Neil. Quote
greg_68 Posted March 22, 2007 Report Posted March 22, 2007 Surely it is not a Ghia, it doesn't have electric rear quater lights, heated seats or climate. Quote
neiluk Posted March 22, 2007 Author Report Posted March 22, 2007 Surely it is not a Ghia, it doesn't have electric rear quater lights, heated seats or climate. Don't you have to have a Ghia X for heated seats and climate control? Neil. Quote
bingo nightly Posted March 22, 2007 Report Posted March 22, 2007 No "wood" trim either, or is this only Ghia X too? Quote
Guest wolfie Posted March 22, 2007 Report Posted March 22, 2007 (edited) only Ghia X had leccy quarter lights and heated seats as standard in 98, wood trim was IIR? 99 Ghia Edited March 22, 2007 by wolfie Quote

That's an impressive set of brochures you have there! So the buttons have definately been removed on that Galaxy then. I take it there would not be any other way to open them manually? I have read that they sieze up so the buttons were possibly removed to hide this fact. Does anyone know if they are usually easily fixed so I could have the buttons replaced. Thanks, Neil. Quote
Guest wolfie Posted March 22, 2007 Report Posted March 22, 2007 (edited) impressive collection? thats only part of it  pre release press packs, pictures, factory build history, press releases, photos, confidential sales info (dealer only release) slides, FORD news releases, accessory sheets, cut away posters, preview packs, info on floppy discs that I cant gain access to :( (cant find software to open disc with (ASCII) ? )....... and a few more bits stashed away in the loft... the way to check would be to look at the rear D post and see if there is a bulge in the trim panel where the motors sit? or just a finger pull catch? the motors are an easy job to replace  if the wirings not there? again it's an easy job to install the motors, switches and run the cables, although I still havent linked mine into the gobal closure system Edited March 22, 2007 by wolfie Quote
