Simp Posted March 17, 2007 Report Posted March 17, 2007 Can anyone help me ? I am about to install a hands free car kit and need to run the microphone up the front pillar next to the windowscreen. There is an airbag somewhere in this pillar and I do not know whether to run the lead on the side of the pillar next to the windowscreen or the side next to the door (under the material trim on the edge)? It may be a case of pot luck but given an airbag I would like to ensure (as best I can) that I am not affecting the airbag itself. Any recommendations ? Thank you. Simon2005 Galaxy Quote
Dave-G Posted March 17, 2007 Report Posted March 17, 2007 Hi - simon. I had no problem fitting my mic lead down it. I just pulled the 'doortrim seal trim back which leaves a large gap to shove the wire in. On older Gals I removed the trim - but felt uneasy about that couse of action on this 05 one which has "airbag" written on a little moulding that covers the mounting screw... that screw was not there on my 3 older models Quote
steve67car Posted March 17, 2007 Report Posted March 17, 2007 (edited) do as dave says and you will be ok iirc the air bag is in the roof not the post but all i did was pull out the door rubber run up the gap and then across the top of the trim and then under the head lining best of luck oh and one more thing...................................................... . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .bang Edited March 17, 2007 by steve67car Quote
