Summer is soon to come, and having a windscreen of the Galaxy size is far from ideal for the Greek climate ! So, I was thinking that the new athermic (or heat reflecting) windshields would help lowering the cabin temperature. I could have expenses covered by insurance, but I have no idea if such a part is available ... Any ideas?

The windscreen is only a small percentage of the glass in the Galaxy; I would not bother changing it - anyway I am not sure that you can get an athermic one

Ι have already tinted all other glass surfaces, and it makes a HUGE difference.. For the windscreen I was thinking the same (lightest tint), but since money is not a problem, I'd rather go for the more "proper" solution.

Hiya Strouf .... havent heard from you for a while.

Dunno about Athermic mate and tinted windscreens in this country are frowned upon by the authorities. It might be worth checking your local policy with regards to tinted winscreens. There are plenty of companies out there but I would be careful in your choice. I've heard a freind mention this site.

Hope you find what you want :D

Hi Chris, nice to hear from you ! Until two years ago, it was absolutely legal to tint your windscreen , as long as driver could be seen from the outside in daylight. Nowadays windscreen cannot be tinted. But practically there is no problem as law enforcment here is somehow loose !! The police wouldn't give you a ticket for this, unless tint is way too dark. So the shops that do the tinting, have you fill a form saying you take full responsibility and do the job.
