I currently have a 2001 TDI galaxy which has done 75000 motoway miles. and has been very reliable!.

What experience do other owners have of running these cars to high mileages ie 150 to 200K?? B)

Bought my Tdi Ghia with 166000 miles on the clock. We`ve done nearly 2000 miles on top of that, so far trouble free. It isn`t a problem seemingly.

Just traded my1999 alhambra 110 tdi in with 160,000 miles on clock

only replacements apart from brakes tyres oil filter when expected was maf unit at 100,000 brake light switch at about the same mileage. both front track rods at about 75,000. generator tension arm was rattleing a bit...glad to see that the new one has a much better arrangement for this. Shocks were a bit soft and realy neede replacement but were functioning still.

oil did not require topping up between change (10K)

ran as well when I parted with it as when I bought it new

replaced it with 130 tdi se just love it...sports suspension a worth while improvement.

just keep the oil changes up to date and don't thash it when cold.

good luck
