Hi some friends of mine have just bought a n reg galaxy 2.8 v6 and i just wanna ask a few questions

 

1.It has done 145,000 miles is this high?

 

2.when you put it under load its very hestitant wat could this be?

 

3.is there an easy way of getting to the sark plugs at the back of the engine?

modern engines should be good for +300k these days if looked after/serviced regularly. you need to check the basics first regarding the hesitation, plugs, leads, coilpack etc. Also have a look around the air filter/Maf area for any signs of disconnected hoses.

 

there is no real easy way to get to the plugs at the back. you will need to remove the air filter box and lead trays, removing the scuttle drain will give you more access. you will also need the lead removal tool to remove and replace the ht leads.
