Nezzo Posted March 4, 2007 Report Posted March 4, 2007 I've just had the right-hand horn switch fall apart - the base pulled out with 4 small screwdivers, lots of swearing and jiggling.I've snipped the wire off and looking at it the unit seems impossible to repair (and impossible to remove from a second-hand streering-wheel without breaking it).I assume you have to order them through a Ford main dealer or are there 2nd hand ones available ? Guest wolfie Posted March 4, 2007 Report Posted March 4, 2007 first off you have to disconnect the battery! then unbolt the air bag, remove it, unplug it and stash it safely! and hey presto you can get to the horn buttons and the wiring for them, easy when you know how  Quote

I've now got a very sad-looking bit of plastic with a spring inside it. I was hoping to repair it but it looks a bit beyond that so now I'm wondering if I'll have to get one new from Ford or if there's anywhere that would stock them 2nd hand ?? Quote
