Starting Problems

Hello There

Recently, my '97 Petrol 2.3 Galaxy seemed to develop a leak in the passenger side of the cabin. I have managed to find the leak, however a lot of water got into the section under the passenger seat where the controls for the central locking and the windows lives. Needles to say, the car was not happy and after a morning of towels and hairdying, it seem to fix that problem.

Only thing is, after I plugged the battery back in, the car won't start. The car did drive OK, albeit with the locks going crazy, but after I dried all the affected components, it has created a different problem. I am hoping that this is quite simple to remedy and just need a new relay.

The car will turn over, but it will not 'catch' and start. There seems to be sufficient power, and no water got into the side of the car where all the fuses are.

Can anyone help?

Many thanks

The water under the passenger seat will probably have come from the rear window washer pipe.

There is a join in the pipe just there that has a habbit of parting.

Loads of posts on here about it.
