tdi90 Posted March 4, 2007 Report Posted March 4, 2007 Howdy all. We had our 1999 T reg TDi 90 Galaxy delivered friday and I hope you guys can answer a few questions for me. 1; I`m after a diesel tuning box but I need to know if its a PD engine or not. How do I find that out?2; Anyone know what the tyre pressures should be? I think its running 195/65 R153; Does anyone know the max towball weight? I presume its around the 75 kg mark, but am not 100% sure. (and yes before anyone asks I do intend to tow a caravan, but I`m only 28 and NOT an old fart!)4; Does anyone know of a supplier of side steps for the galaxy? The kids are having problems climbing in Quote

The kids are having problems climbing in Regarding #4 - our children hold onto their strapped-in child seats (not unsupported booster/back seats) and pull themselves up. They love jumping down from it ! They do have a problem with banging their heads trying to jump out of our Mondeo though :-) PS, can anyone tell me what IIRC means ?? Seen it written lots, but can't work it out (I am only a newbie !) Quote
Guest wolfie Posted March 4, 2007 Report Posted March 4, 2007 PS, can anyone tell me what IIRC means ?? Seen it written lots, but can't work it out (I am only a newbie !) not sure but If I Remember Correctly it means in a lot of cases I aint got a clue  Quote
AndeeeH Posted March 4, 2007 Report Posted March 4, 2007 IIRC means 'if I remember correctly', IIRC the tyre pressures could be on a sticker inside the fuel filler flap or on a sticker on the B pillar inside the drivers door. Andy. Quote
gregers Posted March 4, 2007 Report Posted March 4, 2007 iirc wolfies got his sarcasm head on  Quote
tdi90 Posted March 5, 2007 Author Report Posted March 5, 2007 thanks for all the replies. It didnt come with a manual, but I did find the tyre pressures on a sticker near the door :) Its going back to the dealers today, as the airbag warning light came on and stayed on, the rear washer isnt working and coming home from a mates house late last night, the front wipers packed up! that was scary at 60mph in the peeing down of rain  Quote

Search this site FAQ's for "rear washer pipe" to see what the score is. Wipers possibly a ball joint on the linkages. FAQ's again I think. Edited March 5, 2007 by Dave-G Quote
gregers Posted March 5, 2007 Report Posted March 5, 2007 air bag=clock spring, but if its in the dealers let them sort out your problems(hope in under warranty?). Quote
tdi90 Posted March 5, 2007 Author Report Posted March 5, 2007 Yep, dealer is doing it all  . Dealer checked the front wipers and has ordered a new motor, he plugged a fault box thingy in and found the clock spring at fault on the airbag and ordered that as well, rear washers was the feed pipe not connected to the resevoir! He`s also sticking on new wiper blades front and rear cos they are shot. He`s paying for all the work himself so we dont have to claim on the aftermarket warrenty we took out, which is pretty damn good of him. Does anyone know the max tow ball weight? And how do I know if its a PD engine or not? Quote
