I BROUGHT A PAIR OF WANLI TIRES AND IN TWO MONTHS THEY SHREADED THEY ARE NO GOOD!

 

did track down that they are made in Lebannon!

Well let me tell you from my experiance... DONT GET THEM!!!! Those tired f'in almost killed me... No joke.

 

I bought some used rims and they came with the rims... Let me tell you those are the worst tires I have ever used. They suck in dry weather, meaning they break lose when I pull away from a stop with a little gas. And in the rain... well lets just say you would be safer driving with bald tires.

 

Drawbacks are: they are heavy tires and they weigh more than the stock and road noise (loud humm) is really bad specially when the road is wet.

Wanli are part of the "South China tyre & rubber company" and are the best selling brand in China.

 

Looking at the reports on google......

 

Upon reading these reports, as suspected, most of them are from idiots.

 

People say they don't hold the road well....think about this..... you have just changed from bald, or baldish tyres to ones with a deep tread....the vast majority of the time in this country the roads are dry....which tyre has better grip ?... muppets!

 

I have yet to see a believable report on any tyre......I will go with the experience of the users on this forum.....anyone got these ?

 

If 1,400,000,000 chinese say they are good.....who am I to argue.

A New Jersey importer has asked the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration for help in recalling about 450,000 light-truck tires made in China after a fatal rollover crash.

The recall under circumstances reminiscent of the recall of millions of Firestone tires a few years ago is the latest of high profile incidents involving China-made products imported to the United States from tainted pet food to toys with lead paint.

The tires, made by Hangzhou Zhongce Rubber Co., have an insufficient or missing gum strip -- a safety feature to prevent belts from separating -- Foreign Tire Sales Inc. of New Jersey said in a report to the safety administration on June 11.

Foreign Tire Sales told U.S. safety officials tires sold under the names Westlake, Telluride, Compass and YKS could fail at highway speeds. It also told federal officials at least six other U.S. distributors had sold tires of similar construction by the same manufacturer.

 

 

1.4 billion Chinese might be wrong after all.

Hi I know your posts are old but I have a 2005 galaxy and have had lots of problems with tyre wear. The car has allways drifted slightly to the left but this was blaimed on the road camber in my area (several garages have stated this) however, I have had the car 2-years and am on my 3rd set of tyres (Mitchelin 1st, Dunlop second). The dunlops were put on in january 08 and after 10k both front tyres are so worn on the inside edge, the reinforcing nylon is showing through.

 

I am sure that this is not correct but my local ford garage has carried out a full geom check, tracking & visual check of all components but claim there is nothing wrong - obviously there is I will be insisting they look at it again as the problem has been there since i bought the car.

 

I have also been told this type of wear is common on this car??? can anyone confirm this?

 

I have just had the car checked after putting on some cheeper tyres (why spend a lot when they dont last long) and have been told that the bushes are slightly worn on both sides (too much play) and the n/s trackrod end has slightly more movement than the other side - I am having this checked

 

Howevger, i wanted to know if anyone else has experienced problems like this with tyre wear and was it resolved?

 

I have been told by a sharran owner that some parts around the drive shaft or trackrod end have a habit of going after 60-70k miles as is a non lubricating part and there is a lubricating kit one can buy for
