NikpV Posted February 27, 2007 Report Posted February 27, 2007 We were hoping to go to the Karting meet but were let down by our kids sitter for Sunday so were wondering if anyone fancied a 'toddler friendly' meet. Were thinking of going to Brewers Fayre pub in MK where there is soft play Fun Factory along with food and wine. Probably be there for midday! Easy access from M1 and can roll in a bit of shopping at the same time (keep everyone happy)
mumof4 Posted February 27, 2007 Report Posted February 27, 2007 Umm..where is milton keynes??M1??..i know M4 and M5 oh and the A1...but M1? I know my son is gutted at not being able to go to the kart meet on sun..maybe this would cheer him up as would be suitable for youngest ones aswell.
AndeeeH Posted February 27, 2007 Report Posted February 27, 2007 Maz, Autoroute says its just over 80 miles from where you are, going via M4 junc 15 then the A419/ A420 to Bicester, then North on the M40 to junc 10, then the A43 towards Brackley and right onto the A421 to MK. About 1 hr 30 mins with a tailwind and a good navigator!!!! Andy.
mumof4 Posted February 27, 2007 Report Posted February 27, 2007 Umm..A roads????me and A roads dont mix
NikpV Posted February 27, 2007 Author Report Posted February 27, 2007 slightly longer in distance but probably shorter in time and less chance for sightseeing would be M4 followed by M1 about 3 miles from m1 on A421  not so scenic of course
AndeeeH Posted February 27, 2007 Report Posted February 27, 2007 Nik, did you miss out the M25 on purpose? you know Maz has had previous with the M25!!! Andy.
NikpV Posted February 27, 2007 Author Report Posted February 27, 2007 shhh - anticlockwise I think
mumof4 Posted February 27, 2007 Report Posted February 27, 2007 isnt it clockwise????..gawd..twice ive been on there now and twice ive gone wrong.lol.
AndeeeH Posted February 27, 2007 Report Posted February 27, 2007 (edited) Its 50 miles further going clockwise, never mind anti- Andy. Edited February 27, 2007 by AndeeeH
katman Posted February 28, 2007 Report Posted February 28, 2007 Umm..A roads????me and A roads dont mix  Guess I wont be seeing you round here anytime soon then. No motorways and our A roads are worse than B roads in other parts of the country. One of the insurance companies has just declared our road to London (A12) as the worst in the country :P
mumof4 Posted February 28, 2007 Report Posted February 28, 2007 I think alll A roads should be declared scenic routes.....instead of having..say...A1249....have...Scenic route1249....be much better..lmao.. well, considering i spend a lot of my time on the scenic route...i think it should be so.lol

Guest wolfie Posted March 3, 2007 Report Posted March 3, 2007 one bit of advice for you mo, MK is built on a grid system, so if you get lost turn left at the roundabout, then left at the next roundabout, then left at the next and in theory you should be back where you started....knowing you that will be just outside Luton
