Maf Sensors

I've seen a lot of posts on here of the reliability, or not, of MAF sensors on TDIs. When mine decided it was time to go I went to Euro Car parts, well it is a Volkswagon, the guy asked if It was for me or for a clients car. I explained it was for me and he said a genuine Bosh one was

That's a worrying occurence Marty. Having said that it is only a matter of time before they - like everything else get 'cloned.

 

I suspect that someone somewhere is buying up the exchanged ones to replace a component... well their has to be a reason for taking the worn ones in part exchange methinks.
