Electrical Fault

this is a strange one, when you put the foot brake on the front side light comes on ( drivers side only ), i have checked all the earth points i can find on the car.

 

can anyone help suggest anything.

Remove the bulb, turn it through 180 degrees and replace it.

 

It's quite an easy mistake to make on the Galaxy - for some reason the bulb holder accepts it the wrong way around. In years gone by the bulb would only locate in the right "direction"

 

That said - the pins protruded a lot further years ago too.

check the brake light bulbs? it's been reported that sometime when they fail the fillament drops and shorts across the second fillament causing a few problems!

thanks for the reply, it was the brake bulb causing the problem, aaaarrggghhhhhhhhhh, i have been looking at it most of the day b4 i remembered about this site, thx Wolfie
