kwakzx62003 Posted February 21, 2007 Report Posted February 21, 2007 Can anyone please advise me i have got a v6 Galaxy which is running rough,it starts straight away but when you go to rev it up it pops and backfires in the airbox and tries to cut out and also been cutting out at junctions.I plugged my lap top in and got the message(00553 mass air flow sensor (G70) 31-10 open or short to ground intermittent,could anyone please tell me what this means and if i change this maf thing will my vehicle rev up better. littledaz Posted February 21, 2007 Report Posted February 21, 2007 (edited) Yes Nik, it will run rough and pop back on a petrol when faulty/disconnected when revving it up. Adrian, Before condemning the MAF, check the wiring to it for breaks and check the pins in the connector to make sure they haven't spread open, causing bad connection (open circuit).
