dipsomaniac Posted February 20, 2007 Report Posted February 20, 2007 sorry don't know the size but you can buy the allen key bolts from vw Quote
Guest wolfie Posted February 20, 2007 Report Posted February 20, 2007 nope they are 6x70mm Allen key head bolts Quote
djx Posted February 20, 2007 Author Report Posted February 20, 2007 the reason i was asking was that i was taking it off and didnt want to round the heads by using the wrong size bit. i have now taken it off and put a meter across the terminals to check for the measured resistance. 1-6 no reading4-3 1.6k ohms5-2 1.6k ohms am i right in assuming this is knackered and thats the reason i have a constant misfire? littledaz Posted February 20, 2007 Report Posted February 20, 2007 (edited) Yep DJX, that coil pack is knackered. Edited February 20, 2007 by littledaz Quote
dipsomaniac Posted February 21, 2007 Report Posted February 21, 2007 you would have a very bad misfire and loss of power if running on four. when my coilpack failed my car was only running on three. i had a spark on those three cylinders but not a very healthy one. when it was established that i had a pulse from the ecu to the coilpack by elimination it must have been a faulty coilpack. best place for a coil pack is gsf - Quote
dipsomaniac Posted February 21, 2007 Report Posted February 21, 2007 vw wanted 265. what make was it - gsf was beru. i cycled a 30 mile round trip to pick up mine too Quote
